To Memling

The elegant melodies of the vocal ensemble Psallentes intertwine with the colourful harmonies of The Royal Wind Music in an homage to The Annunciation (1480–1489) by Hans Memling (1430–1494). The album blends Gregorian chants from a Bruges manuscript with exquisite polyphony by Compère, Dufay, Mouton, Obrecht and others, creating a serene and radiant sound world that reflects the beauty and devotion of the Flemish Renaissance.
