Celebrating our 10th anniversary, this recording features The Royal Wind Music with guest musicians Christopher Field (countertenor), Israel Golani (lute), Matthias Havinga (organ) and Johan Hofmann (virginal). Inspired by the musical life at the court of Henry VIII, the album showcases English chamber music played on recorders, lute, cittern, virginal and organ. It includes works by William Byrd, Giovanni Coprario, Anthony Holborne, Thomas Tallis and others, capturing the rich sound world of Renaissance consorts.
